Michael Korelis is the Founder and Managing Director of Korelis & Co. LLC, established in 2010. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2004 and has since developed a distinguished practice with extensive experience in corporate, commercial and tax law, advising clients on complex corporate matters, transactions and strategic legal issues.

Under his leadership, Michael has been instrumental in establishing and developing the firm’s corporate practice into a highly regarded practice, with a particular focus on sophisticated corporate and commercial transactions. His practice encompasses the structuring, negotiation and drafting of commercial and corporate agreements, as well as the supervision of legal due diligence and the successful completion of complex corporate transactions.

Michael has extensive experience advising on corporate reorganisations and restructurings, secured financing transactions, rights issues, mergers and acquisitions, together with a broad range of corporate and commercial arrangements. He regularly advises clients throughout the lifecycle of their businesses, combining technical legal expertise with a practical and commercially focused approach.

He has also developed substantial expertise in Cyprus trusts and international trust structures, having been actively involved in the establishment and administration of Cyprus local and international trusts. His experience includes advising trustees, protectors, settlors and beneficiaries on their respective powers, rights and obligations, as well as advising on estate planning and the structuring and administration of investments held through international trusts.

In addition, Michael advises clients on a broad range of regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters, including conduct of business requirements and regulatory capital considerations. His practice reflects a strong understanding of the increasingly complex regulatory environment in which businesses and regulated entities operate.

Michael is also a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Cyprus, bringing significant expertise in corporate insolvency and restructuring. Through his appointments as a company liquidator, he has gained extensive practical experience in the administration and resolution of corporate insolvency matters.

As Managing Director, Michael combines his extensive legal experience with strategic and organisational leadership, overseeing the continued development of the firm and its corporate practice, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering sophisticated, commercially focused and trusted legal advice to clients.
